Mandala of Five Elements

The philosophy of the five elements formed the basis for Indian Ayurvedic Medicine, which later was in cooperated in to Tibetan Medicine. This Mandala was used to explain the relationship between the diseases and their treatments.

This painting is a copy of a 16th Century Nepalese painting and was painted with pure natural colours to preserve its healing power.
